Easy clean up, burnt on debris just wiped off with a scrubbing spounge. Don't really know if that is the pot or just luck, but pots I've cleaned in the past have been a nightmare. Only ding I would give it is that if you have a large bird the piece that goes up through the center of the bird is kind of short and you will be fishing for it inside the bird to pull it out. Other than that pretty perfect. Am able to do a 5 gallon boil with nothing close to a boilover, which was always a problem I had with previous pots. Being Aluminum it cooled down extremely quick when put in a bucket of ice and using my immersion chiller. My only complaint is the thermometer it comes with was not very accurate. I boiled water in it and it said the temperature of the water was only 190'F when it started boiling, but the temperature of boiling should be 212'F. So I would just suggest not to trust the thermometer and use a higher quality thermometer. But this pot was fantastic for my needs and I would highly recommend it to fellow homebrewers looking to get an affordable brew pot. I like to brine my turkeys and it fits inside the 5 gallon water coolers used by construction workers that are easily found at Lowe's or Home Depot. When I get ready to cook, I pull the bird out of the cooler, pour off the brine and then put the bird back in so it can drain and come up to room temperature without any worries of animals or bugs getting to the raw food. The coolers are easy to clean and sanitize for the next time. Yes, I would like it to be a little more sturdy because it does bend. I fry 16 or more 11lb turkeys a year and I haven't had any major issues. Matter of fact I am ordering 3 more from Bayou Classics website, just to make the job of frying 4 turkeys at a time easier. It will not hold a 5lb chicken up straight. It folds over with a 10lb turkey sitting on it. More like a turkey recliner. The ideal is good but not a QUALITY product. The injector kit is great and the thermometer is the ONLY usefull items in this kit. I was interested in getting a basket to handle wings, fish, and whatever else might taste good fried. This basket works perfectly in my fryer. I have used it to do several batches of wings so far and easily fits inside the larger vessel. Should also work great for Low Country Boil. Easy to use, easy to clean.
